Meet CHiAKi KURiYAMA again, for the first time…
Most Americans first introduction to Japanese model/actress Chiaki Kuriyama was in Quentin Tarantino’s KILL BILL as the sexy and dangerous Gogo Yubari. A few were probably introduced to her a few years earlier in the violent Japanese cult film BATTLE ROYALE. She has since become an international super star and has appeared in numerous Japanese films, television shows and commercials.
We know she’s got the looks and the acting talent to back it up.
But did you know she can sing?
Chiaki Kuriyama the actress is now CHiAKi KURiYAMA the singer. Her musical influences range from Hikaru Utada and L’Arc~en~Ciel to Marilyn Manson and My Chemical Romance. Her song “Ryusei No Namida” has already been picked as the theme song of the 2010 anime series Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn.
MTV Iggy conducted an interview with CHiAKi KURiYAMA and they also have a vid that gives us our first taste of her debut song “Ryusei No Namida”. Check them out!
