These creatively designed barcodes are the work of Japanese design firm d-barcode. I love the way they have successfully turned something so boring and mundane into humorous visual gags or interesting pieces of art. As cool as this is would most people ever notice things like these on their food or beverage labels? I know when I occasionally snack on some chips the last thing I would ever do is check out the barcode. But perhaps that could change if the barcodes were as creatively designed as these.
