Efren Pinaflorida Jr.’s inspiring story and his work to educate poverty stricken Filipino children has earned him a place as part of the top 10 CNN Heroes of 2009. He is one of the founders of Dynamic Teen Company which is an organization that provides education, basic health needs, food and activities that are an alternative to the gangs and crime that most children from the Philippine slums gravitate to.
