BoA – I Did it For Love music video
Here’s BoA’s latest music video for her latest single “I Did it For Love”. This is one of the better songs on the album and it sounds just as good as any other dance pop songs out now. The video is rather interesting because it doesn’t evoke the feeling of the other current pop artists out there, it’s more reminiscent of some of the music videos of Janet Jackson. I kinda like it because it is different then most of the other stuff playing right now. Even the dance choreography is unique and interesting and it doesn’t look like she’s giving the camera a lap dance (not that I wouldn’t mind, but that’s totally off topic).
Here’s the official word on BoA’s American debut:
BoA is just now making her emergence into the United States with her self title English language debut BoA, which debuted in the Billboard 200 and was the 11th most sold album on the internet. The record is a reputable who’s who in the pop music world with her debut single “I Did it For Love” produced by Sean Garrett (Usher, Ciara, Beyonce, Whitney Houston) and the video being directed by Joseph Kahn (Eminem’s “Without Me”, Britney Spears “Toxic).
BoA’s tightly woven pop music and over the top dance videos put her in a prime position to be the next American princess of pop – as the embodiment of mainstream music 2.0. Check out the video for “I Did it For Love” below…its truly like watching a young Britney Spears or Janet Jackson emerging.
Hmmmm… “mainstream music 2.0″. Now that’s a new buzz word I haven’t heard before! Whatever that is BoA is apparently the poster girl for it. Should be a good thing, right? In any case it seems BoA is serious in breaking into the very Asian-phobic American music industry. Unfortunately she doesn’t play the piano, violin or cello, seemingly the only instruments Asian’s are allowed to play in America, so let’s hope those “disadvantages” aren’t held against her.
