Obama first Asian-American president?

Okay, Obama is not the first Asian-American president. But a recent article on Yahoo chronicles the first 100 days of his presidency and it seems he’s getting major kudos from Asian-American leaders.
“In a nutshell, he has done more in 100 days than the last administration has done in eight years,” said Representative Mike Honda, who heads the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus.
Here are some of the highlights of the positive progress President Obama has done for the Asian-Pacific Islander community:
- Appointed a record three Asian-Americans as cabinet members.
- Signing a measure to give 200 million dollars in pay back to Filipino World War II veterans who fought alongside the US, but were stripped of benefits in 1946.
- Reached out to Japan and China early in his office as president.
