Nintendo DSi launches April 5 in the US

Nintendo is set to launch the Nintendo DSi on April 5th in the United States. This will be the third iteration of the popular hand held gaming device, but this version has some significant upgrades. The new features include two cameras, one on the external side and one that points at the user when the DSi is flipped open. The DSi also has a SD memory slot so you now can listen to your music on the device using the DSi Sound application. The DSi is almost backwards compatible with most DS games. And DSiWare will allow gamers to download games directly to the DSi much like how WiiWare works with the Nintendo Wii. The only real glaring omission is the lack of a Game Boy Advance slot. So if you still want to continue playing those older games, it’s a good idea to keep your DS lite or original DS. The product will retail for $169.oo.
