Maid Cafe opens in Culver City, CA
Maid Cafe is a Japanese anime inspired role playing cafe, where waitresses are dressed as a “maid” and treat you as a “master”. Maids will greet, “Welcome home, my master” at the door, pour tea for you, and play card game with you.
Here’s short clip from CNN reporting Maid Cafe:
Now America will have the opportunity to experience Japanese otaku culture without traveling to Japan. America’s first Maid Cafe, Royal /T Cafe, is having their grand opening on April 12th in Culver City.
I am not sure if the maids here are going to greet and serve customers just like Japanese maids, but I am sure we will see tons of bloggers posting about their experience next week. If you don’t have anything to do this weekend, why don’t you drive down to Culver city and find it out.
